 Edipsos

A famous spa town, population about 4,000, in north-west Evia which has been known since ancient times for the medicinal qualities of its hot natural springs.  Today it is one of Greece ’s best known tourist resorts where the visitors use the hydromassage and massage facilities to relax. 

The northern part of the island is greener than the remainder of Evia and has a mixture of fertile farming land and beautiful mountainous forested countryside.  It also has the beaches, the archaeological monuments, neoclassical architecture and the traditional Greek villages to enjoy.

 Facilities:
As a popular tourist resort it has a choice of retail and taverna amenities open all the year. The main attraction is the Spa, but Edipsos also has an archaeological collection and a beautiful Monastery. In the town you can find banks, a post office and other common facilities.
There are many hotels available to cater for the many tourists who come to enjoy the thermal springs along the coast.

How to get there:
The main route is via the National Road "Athens- Lamia" up to Arkitsa port and then by ferry to Edipsos.  There is also a scenic drive via Halkida 115 km away or from the north via the ferry between Glifa and Agiokampos.
