There are a number of ways you can rent your property out

1. Long Term

This is the standard way that we rent the majority of our clients' properties. There is a good rental market in central Evia , the population of which is growing fast as new road and rail links bring the area closer to Athens and the international airport

Many clients in this category have purchased as investors expecting to retire to the area in a 5 - 10 year timescale

2. Short Term

For certain types of property there are short term rental opportunities. There are a number of students at the local Technical College or professionals on short term contracts looking to rent one-bedroom apartments. In the summer months these same apartments can be rented for the June to August period to Athenian families looking for a summer house

3. Holiday Lets

This is rental on a weekly basis (or less), and requires a formal EOT (the Greek Tourist authority ) license. Obtaining one is very time-consuming and can be expensive.

Whilst the apparent rentals to be obtained for such rentals (in the right place) can be high, once commissions (normally about 20%), management charges, weekly cleaning, maintenance and utility costs have been taken out the net rental income is little different from long term rentals
